Vale End - Three lakes and river beats offer varied fly fishing for rainbow and brown trout in a beautifully landscaped setting.

Vale End provides four acres of beautifully landscaped and varied stillwater and stream fishing comprising Belmont lake, Birget lake and Mill Pool, which nestle at the foot of Belmont Wood.

These waters are spring fed, with clean gravel on the lake beds giving rise to a wealth of natural fly life, especially olives and buzzers. Stands of established Alder and Crack Willow provide ample shade and natural cover. Mill Pool and Belmont are stocked with brown and rainbow trout of an average weight of 2lb 8oz up to in excess of 10lb.

The river beats running the length of the fishery together with the dry-fly only Birget Pool are stocked with rainbow and brown trout during the open season.

The cooling effect of the Tillingbourne provides extremely consistent fishing during the summer months whilst, helping to render the lakes ice-free during cold winter periods.

This is also our most popular corporate venue.

Albury fish are most free rising at this fishery, with a wide selection of naturals on the menu including Buzzers, damsels, sedge, olives, mayfly and caenis.

The lakes and stream are stocked up to four times a week.
